Patterns and Functions
The Free Your Mind: The Ultimate Escape Room project teaches you to not only think logically, but creativly. Through patterns and puzzles we found functions. Functions are not just equations, functions can tell a story. Through this project we were creating functions that followed patterns and told stories. We focused mostly on the three most common Linear Function forms: Slope-Intercept, Standard, and Point-Slope Form. We used these forms to create equations through patterns in pictures, graphs, in and out tables, number sequences, sigma notation, and word problems. Overall we applied logical and creative thinking to create functions to slove and locate patterns and puzzles.
