Health/Wealth
The Health/Wealth Project is a project relating probability and expected value to health insurance. One of the first question we were asked was "What is a fair price for health insurance?" Through out this project we conducted many problems surrounding probability and expected value. We also created a citizen using the probability of dice to decide out gender, race, health, income, and age. Through this citizen we were allowed to experience what health care would be like for people in different financial, family, income, and schooling situation. Learning probability and expected value through health insurance gave us a connection to real life and a valid reason to want to learn about maths concepts.
