Space - The Final Frontier
The Student Spaceflight Experiment Program (SSEP) is a program in which students have the ability to create an experiment that can possibly be sent to space. In Physics we had the chance to create and submit an experiment based on microgravity affects. For each particapting school district three experiments will move onto the next level and one final experiment will be chosen to be conducted in space. My Final Proposal
For my final SSEP proposal I worked with Breanna Jones (classmate). Our idea/question: How will ruminant blood mixture act in a microgravity enviorment? To see our final proposal and read more detailed imformation look at the slide show below. Breanna and I were passionate about this topic as well as worked extremly hard to make our final proposal. We both reseached blood, blood transfusions, synthitic blood, and blood preservation for hours. We had thought provoking disscussions with our College Mentors and always challenged our idea/question to predict possible outcomes. Overall through our experiment we are hoping to discover changes or affects that will help blood trasfusion (in microgravity and gravity enviorments), sythetic blood development, and a broad spectrum of blood invloved research.
Next Level
The final proposal that Breanna and I created was selected to move on to the next level of the SSEP. We were one of the three contestants chosen for the San Marcos school district to move to the next level. Curently our proposal is still in review and the decision of which proposal goes to space is unkown.
